Experience
I am currently persuing a Master's Degree in Teaching with a focus in Biology and I would like to tutor to find out the real problems students face in learning science. I feel this will give me experience that will be valuable for when I begin to teach. I have taken many education classes at Winthrop including: educational psychology, teaching strategies and management, assessment strategies and science teaching methods. I am interested in the health of the environment and would like to relay this information to our youth. I presented research research at Geological Society of America Conference in Portland, Oregon on the Holocene peat deposits of the Congaree National Park and received support from the Dalton Endowment for Environmental Science and University Research Council.

Weekends at any time, Monday after 2PM, Friday after 2PM, Wednesday in the morning

Hobbies
I grow and propagate native plants in my greenhouse and use them in training "Bonsai". The greenhouse is a type of laboratory for me to try propagation methods. I have a son and daughter that love to be outside so we hike on the Greenway here in Fort Mill. I love to research topics in Biology to further my knowledge and continue to develop engaging activities for students to learn the inquiry methods used in Science.
